Scanner 1131 EFM/RTU Flow Computer

N/A 1131 features improved computation ability and remote terminal unit (RTU) functionality. The 1131 is the latest addition to Barton's advanced Scanner 1100 Series of electronic flow measurement/RTU systems. To minimize training time and maximize future expandability, the Scanner 1131 shares software and expansion boards with Barton's popular Scanner 1130. Unlike the older version, the Scanner 1131 has four communications ports on the main board that can support multiple functions and protocols simultaneously.

I/O enhancements include two 4-20mA analog outputs, more digital I/O, and up to six differential style analog inputs. The system board has been upgraded to an 80386 processor operating at 16MHz, which makes it five to ten times faster than the Scanner 1130. An optional Intel 387SX coprocessor that can speed up floating point computations by orders of magnitude is also available. Memory has been expanded to 1024K of code space (implemented with flash memory), 128K of volatile RAM, and 640K of non-volatile RAM. An optional expansion connector allows flash and non-volatile RAM to be expanded to 8M total.
