The side-channel pump with its high differential heads has the advantage of operating more economically
- Multi stage, self-priming, Side Channel Pump
- Capacity: 0.5 to 140 USGPM
- Differential Head: 70 to 2000 Feet
- Temperature: 500 deg. Max
- Pressure: 600 PSI
- Drive Power: 50 HP at 1750 rpm
The side-channel pump with its high differential heads has the advantage of operating more economically than single volute centrifugal pumps applied for low capacity and high heads. Due to these facts, the side channel pumps are appropriate to solve many pumping problems in the chemical and petrochemical process. The SCM-pump is a heavy duty unit for handling clean pumpages without solids. Sealless magnetic driven pumps are designed to improve plant's and personnel safety, especially when handling toxic, explosive or other dangerous liquids which react on contact with the atmosphere. For all such services, the static shroud replaces double acting mechanical seals with expensiveor fragile external fluid reservoirs with necessary control equipment.
In order to achieve low NPSH-value, an end suction design with an end suction centrifugal impeller is standard. The pump shaft is driven via a permanent-magnetic coupling. The pumpage is hermetically sealed to the atmosphere by the shroud, no shaft sealing is required.
