Milpitas, CA--(Marketwire) - Sierra Monitor Corporation (OTCBB: SRMC), a Cleantech focused company that designs, manufactures and sells electronic safety and environmental instrumentation, announced that it has received its third purchase order for Hydrogen Sulfide Gas Monitors and Flame Detectors to be installed in the China National Oil Corporation, Puguang Gas Field in the Sichuan Province of south eastern China. Sierra Monitor's detection products are used in numerous locations along gas collection pipelines connecting gas wells to the Puguang gas processing plant.

The Puguang gas field is China's largest gas field and construction of the processing plant and gas pipeline began in 2008 with completion planned for 2010. The concentration of Hydrogen Sulfide in the natural gas is very high requiring special precautions and additional processing before the gas can be pumped via pipeline to Shanghai.
