Temperature Transmitter

Honeywell's STT250 is a compact, smart temperature transmitter that offers the choice of either Honeywell's digitally enhanced (DE) or HART communication protocols. The transmitter weighs 0.2 pounds (75 grams) and is packaged in a module that measures 2 inches in diameter by 1 inch in height.

The temperature transmitter directly mounts to the sensor, which extends applications versatility. Direct mounting reduces installation costs and supports integral spring loading of the sensor for fast, accurate measurement. Alternate mountings include two-inch pipe, wall and DIN rail.

Configuration of parameters such as sensor type and required operating range can be performed locally or remotely over the output 4-20mA wiring. Configuration is accomplished by using a hand-held communicator or Honeywell PC-based configuration toolkit, the SCT 3000. The universal STT250 accepts a wide variety of thermocouple or resistance temperature detectors or resistance or millivoltage signals.
