Tenaris renames its Antares® and NKK premium connections

Houston, May 20, 2003 - Tenaris S.A. (NYSE, Buenos Aires and Mexico: TS; MTA Italy: TEN), and its TenarisConnections subsidiary, have renamed under the Tenaris name the Antares® and NKK premium connections in its range as per the table below. This follows the purchase of NKK's premium connections technology, which had previously been licensed to Tenaris, and the transfer by Dalmine to TenarisConnections of the Antares® premium connections technology. Tenaris will continue to offer Atlas Bradford® premium connections under the Atlas Bradford® name.

The name changes are being made as Tenaris consolidates its position as a source of outstanding premium connections technology and principal supplier of premium connections to the OCTG market. Its latest development, the recently launched TenarisBlue premium connection, features a unique dopeless option for enhanced environmental protection as well as superior performance over an extended range of applications.

Tenaris offers a comprehensive range of premium connections and each connection in the TenarisConnections range has been carefully selected to offer a best-in-class solution for its particular application. They are manufactured to exacting standards of quality and supported by some 100 licensed repair shops worldwide.

The name changes are being made to foster brand unity and recognition for the TenarisConnections range and do not represent any change in the technical characteristics of any of the connections involved. Tenaris will continue to provide the same level of support and service for all of its established connections to its customers and licensees.
