Thermo Fisher Scientific To Distribute High-Capacity Hose Pumps And Reinforced Hoses From Environmental Pumping Solutions

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today announced that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with U.K.-based Environmental Pumping Solutions Limited (EPS) in which Thermo Fisher will distribute the EPS Enviroflex™ L Series peristaltic hose pumps and reinforced hoses in the United States and select countries worldwide.

The EPS line expands Thermo Fisher's existing offering of more than 4,000 pumps and flowmeter products, including the highly regarded Thermo Scientific Masterflex line of peristaltic pumps. By carrying EPS products, Thermo Fisher will provide customers with even greater convenience, choice and value in purchasing hose pumps and precision-ground reinforced hoses. EPS hose pumps are easier to use and consume less power than many competing models, enabling customers to increase their efficiency and reduce energy costs.

Eleven Enviroflex L series pump models are available, providing flow rates up to 647 GPM (147,000 L/h) and discharge pressures up to 145 psi. The L series pumps provide self-priming suction lift up to a maximum of 31 ft (9.5m) vertical. These high-capacity hose pumps are available in fixed and variable speeds, with casing options including 304 and 316 stainless steel.

Enviroflex L series pumps are taller and wider than the industry standard, providing longer rollerto- hose contact for increased flow per revolution. As a result, the pump produces the same output as standard pumps while running at lower speeds (as much as 50 percent lower), significantly increasing hose life and reducing maintenance costs. The Enviroflex L series pumps also feature rotating rollers for soft hose compression, reducing operating power requirements by as much as 50 percent compared to pumps with a similar fixed-shoe design. All these innovative features ensure the pumps have a very favorable cost of ownership.

A complete line of Enviroflex precision-ground reinforced replacement hoses, compatible with all major peristaltic hose pump brands, is also available either with purchase of a hose pump or separately. These EPS hoses minimize friction during pump operation to provide accuracy in flow rates and a longer hose life. The hoses are available in sizes from 10mm to 150mm inner diameter and in a number of different materials, including EPDM, CPSE, natural rubber, neoprene and nitrile (food grade and industrial).

The Enviroflex L series pumps and peristaltic hose products are available to customers through Thermo Fisher's established worldwide distribution channels.
