Tuboscope to Expand Conroe Manufacturing Facility

Tuboscope Inc. has announced plans to expand its main Texas Oil Tools Division manufacturing facility in Conroe, Texas. The new construction will consist of a 30,000 square foot climate-controlled manufacturing facility and a 7,500 square foot office space. Texas Oil Tools manufactures pressure control equipment for the oil and gas well service and workover industry. Apache Services Inc. has been chosen as the contractor for the expansion. The companies expect to complete the project in July 1998.

Tuboscope, headquartered in Houston, Texas, supplies oilfield internal tubular coating and tubular inspection services, oilfield solids control equipment and services, and coiled tubing and pressure control equipment to the petroleum industry. The company also provides in-service inspection of pipelines, manufactures high pressure fiberglass tubulars, sells and leases advanced inline inspection equipment, and provides quality assurance and inspection services to a range of industries.
