The sample being measured is pulled under an adjustable vacuum created by an air driven eductor. Flow rates are controlled by an integral needle value with the velocity being indicated on a flow meter. The sample is passed across the sensor and exhausted, along with instrument air, via the exhaust port. If the aspirator is positioned in a “safe” area, it is advisable to pipe the exhaust back to the area it has come from. Sample line dross can be cleared by pressing the line purge button, diverting full pressure instrument air down the sample line.

When used with a GDA aspirator, it provides a complete duct sampling system capable of operating in hazardous areas. The SCDP-H allows simple, trouble free, representative sampling of duct environments.

All gas sensors must be calibrated to on-site environmental conditions once installation is complete. Net Safety Monitoring gas sensors are calibrated to factory conditions before shipment to verify operation but accurate response to gas must be again be verified prior to using the device. Regular checks and calibrations are also essential to ensure that the detectors are ready to respond at all times. Net Safety Calibration Kits do not come with gas cylinders, they must be ordered separately.
